ASBBA are proud to promote their sponsors, 1st Place 4 Trophies, who offer great discounts on all awards regardless on quantities purchased. As a club we also participate with charity events especially those organised by our chosen charity, Mind. Our close work with our Governing Bodies and Local council allow us not only to teach to a high standard but to enable ongoing development for ALL staff and its members.

Can you win £100?

We are having a £100 giveaway. Very simple, at the end of March one lucky member will win £100. Here is how to have a chance of winning.

  1. Introduce a friend of family member to the club.
  2. They have to either join as a member or take up the 3 month half price trial.
  3. For each person you get to join, then your name goes into a hat.
  4. The more people you introduce, the bigger chance you have in winning.
  5. At the end of March, I will draw one lucky name out of the hat.
  6. That person then receives £100 cash.
So straight forward, so easy, so why not get a friend, relative or work colleague to come along. First lesson is free anyway. Nothing to lose.

Black Belt Inc League 1

The first competition of the year passed us by on Saturday. It was the Black belt Inc 1st Leg tourney. A great turnout from the ASBBA squad, Lewis, Jurel, Tina, Alistair, Shane, Richard, Thomas and Will. They all performed exceptionally well where we came home with a number of 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. An excellent tournament that ran ever so well. All our fighters were hyped up for this and are looking forward to the next leg which is on March 7th at Lordswood Girls School.

Boston Series 1.

Sunday 31st January saw ASBBA travel to the other side of the UK to Boston and its attempts to win more series titles. The results went very well indeed, Thomas got a 1st place with Stephen coming 3rd within the same category. Out of the teenagers, Alistair came third with richard narrowly losing in the 1st round. The adults put up a good fight where Tina had her best performance to date by attempting new techniques that worked for her and discarding any tenchinques that didnt suit her. She lost in the 1st round but a performance to build on. Will unfortunately sustained an injury in his semi final fight that cost him an opportunity in continuing his impressive. Finally John got 1st in the Black Belt section, which was really good for a debut fight for ASBBA.

Overall we got 2x gold and 3 x bronze. A good days work.
