Black Belt Grading
Congratulations to Shane, Jade, JM and Rie who survived their 6hour (Yes, 6 hours, you read it correctly) Black Belt Examination. It was an exciting grading that saw them all test their mental strength in a way that they have done so before. Even before we even asked them to throw a jab, they andured a tough fitness session comprising of many burpees, sit-ups, press-ups and many more exercises. During their syllabus work they did even more exercises and if that was not enough, they had to do over 25 rounds of sparring with Burpees inbetween. The weather did not help as it was humid and very warm. However they survived to tell the tale and pass on their story and knowledge to others who are on the journey towards their Black Belts.
We would also like to thank all the students who came down to show their support and help them in their sparring and partner work. An excellent day where the hard work of the past 4 or so may have paid off. They will all find out their results at the clubs birthday parts on July 4th, Harborne Day Centre in Quinton. Clubs Birthday Party
We are holding our annual birthday party/bbq at the Harborne Day Centre on Sunday 4th July. There will be lots of fun and games for all and is a great time for the club to come together and just relax. There will be a bbq, raffle, guess the amount of sweets in a jar game, workshops and many more exciting activities. So come down with all your friends and family as we will be presenting those who passed their Black Belts.
