A big congratulations to Darren Hobbs who after a gruelling 5 hour
grading session managed to achieve his Black Belt. He spent the 1st
hour warming up, stretching and then an extremely hard fitness blitzed.
Then he demonstrated to very high standards all his techniques for each
each, bearing in mind, there were exercises after each belt phase.
After his syllabus work, he had to do 10 rounds of points fighting, 10
rounds of continuous, 3 rounds of continuous with low kicks, 2 rounds
of continuous with takedowns and the a round of grappling. In between
each round, he had to pull off 10 burpees.
In total he must have
done over 500 sit-ups, press-ups, squats, tuck jumps and burpees. There
were also shuttle runs and different types of exercises as well.
Well done to you Darren, you did really well.
